To achieve Eagle rank, you must earn a total of 21 Merit Badges (10 more than required for Life rank), including the following 13:

• Citizenship in the Nation

• Citizenship in the World

• Communication

• Cooking

• Family Life

• First Aid

• Personal Fitness

• Personal Management

   

• Emergency Preparedness OR Lifesaving      *

• Environmental Science OR Sustainability    *

• Swimming OR Hiking OR Cycling                    *

 *You must choose only one of the merit badges listed from the options. Any additional merit badge(s) earned from those options may be counted as one of your optional merit badges used to make your total of 21.
